Aluminum honeycomb plates
A project focused on revealing hidden structures in lightweight and composite materials — in particular, an aluminum core plate and its honeycomb supporting geometry.
Following in-depth research, a special pressing technique was developed where the honeycomb core becomes not only a functional element but also an ornamental design on the surface layer. Lamp, mirror and table show the developed advantages, inventions and new usabilities of this 100% recyclable material. The design is based on simple geometric shapes, focusing on the pure material and the pressing process.
